We're looking for a Data Scientist to join our team. (Swimwear and a lab coat optional).
You are a data enthusiast with a passion for discerning useful information from millions of data points. You have an interest in re-configuring game systems and tweaking parameters to improve user experience and increase engagement. You're keen to work in a small startup and explore the impact you can have on our games.
Responsibilities
Provide data-driven decision-making support for our games
Discover trends in player behaviour through quantitative analysis
Provide key actionable insights that shape the roadmap of the game
Design and analyse experiments that inform decisions
Build out Business Intelligence using data from diverse sources
Present visual high-impact data stories to drive collaborative action
Help grow new techniques and capabilities in analytics discipline
Requirements
Confident in manipulating, transforming, and analysing complex data at large scales
Experience in:
A/B testing design and read-outs
SQL and/or Python
Quantitative/statistical analysis, ideally in mobile gaming
Using visual tools like Tableau or similar to empower data exploration
Strong attention to detail, natural curiosity with ability to problem-solve creatively
Excellent communication skills, comfortable explaining complex ideas
A strong grasp of technical and business perspectives
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and enjoy multitasking on parallel projects
Enjoy working in both individual and team settings
Bonus
BSc or BA. in Math, Statistics, Comp Sci, Engineering, or other technical field
Interest in Interactive Fiction and Narrative games
Desire to work in games
Enjoy playing games and an interest in the games industry
Using Big Data systems: Vertica, Spark, Hadoop, Redshift, etc
